Ben Caluzzi wins EDFL B&F for the second time.

The EKFC congratulates Ben Caluzzi for his second EDFL B&F win in the under 12s.

Ben polled 37 votes from 13 games and won by a huge margin of 14 votes.   He also kicked 66 goals which could well be a club record for u12s.

The Cougars are proud of his achievements and look forward to Ben’s climb to the senior ranks in the upcoming years.

Junior Finals Update – Two Teams Fight For The Flag THIS WEEKEND!

Congratulations to the U/10’s and coach Dean Pelligrino on making the Preliminary final . Unfortunately the boys season has come to end and whilst they were gallant couldn’t get over the top of Westmeadows. Well done to all connected with this team.

The U/16’s were beaten two weeks ago in the Qualifying final by Northern Saints by over 10 goals and played them again in the Preliminary final.

The boys were unbelievable and in a hard fought game the mighty Cougars overcome a number of obstacles to record a 10 point win. The last quarter was extremely exciting and the result wasn’t sealed until the last 60 seconds. It was one of the great wins in our clubs proud history.

This week both the 12’s and 16’s take on Glenroy in the Grand Final at Jacana.

Come along and support the lads as we try and bring some more premierships to Overland Reserve!

Three Junior Grand Finals = Three Premierships

Three Junior Grand Finals = Three Premierships

A historic day for the East Keilor Football Club occurred yesterday with three junior premierships out of three grand finals played.

It started with the Under 10s winning a thriller over Westmeadows by a solitary point.

It then continued when the Under 12s romping home by 21 points against Tullamarine.

Then the third part of the premiership trilogy fell into place when the under 16s won another close one against Westmeadows.  After speaking with Kris Pisani last night he told me that they won the game in the last 30 seconds with a late goal by the Cougars.

Cougarnet hopes to get more details reports from Gavin Wignall and as soon as I get it i will post in on the site.

Once again, what a day and congratulations to all the players, coaches and their families on a magical day for the club.

Go cougars!
